ASUS, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, portable computer systems and other hardware devices, has released a new CPU cooler, part of its all copper-made lineup. Designed to follow in the footsteps of its highly successful predecessor, the Silent Knight II CPU cooler, the new Royal Knight from ASUS comes with several interesting features and a special design, which makes it truly worthy of its name.

The new cooler has been created to bring down temperatures for some of the latest central processing units from leading manufacturers Intel and AMD. The Royal Knight CPU includes support for all LGA775, AM2 /AM2 and Socket 1207 processors, which means that it will be no good for the upcoming Core i7 processors from Intel. Fortunately, there are countless high performance processors that will need the cooling power of ASUS' latest release and, even more, given its technical specifications, it will most certainly be capable of cooling down CPU temperatures for those Core 2 Extreme and Phenom X4 processors.

The Royal Knight's brand new design boasts an advanced thermal solution that includes 6 pure copper heat pipes, a 120mm LED fan (capable of working at fan speeds of 800 to 1300 RPM), with top-flow design and twin wind-shaped copper fins. All these features are meant to effectively dissipate the heat from some of the latest high-performance processors from both Intel and AMD, as already noted above. The 120mm fan, placed on top of the cooler's twin wing-shaped copper fins will enable a maximum air-flow, while working at only 22 dBA, due to the cooler's PWM Control.

No word on pricing and availability just yet, but the ASUS Royal Knight CPU cooler is expected to debut sometime in the upcoming weeks, providing computer enthusiasts and gamers with a new high-performance cooling solution to help them achieve those high overclocking levels they’ve been dreaming of for so long.
