Although there is already talk of the next generation Radeon graphics cards, we do have to admit that AMD's currently available offer still draws the attention of many computer enthusiasts. As a matter of fact, major graphics card vendors have not yet finished coming up with different graphics cards designed to take advantage of AMD's recently released HD 4000-series of cards. On that note, Taiwanese manufacturer ASUS has introduced today a new graphics cards based on AMD's high-performance HD 4870. In addition, the company has also brought forth a new NVIDIA GeForce card based on the 55nm 9800GTX+ GPU.

Now, as you might have expected, ASUS couldn't have simply gone and offered a standard HD 4870 Radeon graphics card, which is why the new EAH4870 Dark Knight TOP comes with a factory overclocked GPU to deliver the maximum performance extreme gaming users require. NVIDIA's GeForce 9800GTX+ received a similar treatment, and has also been factory overclocked to provide a considerable performance boost, when compared with the reference models.

Heading on to technical specifications, you should know that the new EAH4870 DK TOP graphics cards will provide you with a core speed of 815MH, 1GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 3.7GHz and, to make the offer even more attractive, ASUS has even thrown in a leather mouse PAD as a special bundle.

The 9800GTX+, on the other hand, has been set to work at a GPU speed of 775MHz, while the memory clock is set at 2.35GHz. The card delivers 512MB of DDR3 memory and the Shaders have been clocked to 2.36GHz from 1.18GHz. Unlike with the Radeon graphics cards, the overclocked NVIDIA GeForce 9800GTX+ card doesn't come with any special bundle.

Both cards feature the Dark Knight fansink, designed as a high-performance dual-slot cooling solution that is meant to ease the GPU temperature levels. Unfortunately, ASUS did not specify details regarding pricing and availability.
