Like so many others, ASUS has introduced GeForce GTX 660 and 650 graphics cards. It could not afford not to do so after NVIDIA released the reference models.
The GTX660-DC2T-2GD5 uses the DirectXU II cooler (two fans, 20% lower temperature) and runs the GK106 GPU (graphics processing unit) at 1,033 MHz / 1,072 MHz (base/boost).
The 2 GB of GDDR5 memory operate at 6,108 MHz, 100 MHz more than the stock card.
Interestingly, the reference-clocked GTX 660 (GTX660-DC2-2GD5) has the same cooler as this adapter. That goes for the GTX650-DC as well.
Needless to say, due to the different coolers and performance (where applicable), the Gigabyte video controllers will sell for prices higher than the ones NVIDIA provided ($150/150 Euro for GTX 650 and 229 / 229 Euro for GTX 660).
