The ASUS Transformer Pad TF701T was announced back at IFA last year, but the product is only now making its way to Australia.

The device will be available through ASUS re-sellers and some Harvey Norman stores, beginning next month, reports AusDroid.

Those familiar with the Transformer Pad family are probably aware this is a pretty good looking tablet that comes complete with a keyboard dock, allowing you to use the device in laptop mode, as well.

The TF701T has a 10.1-inch IPS display with a crisp, beautiful resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, which is above what a lot of tablets these days offer.

Under the hood lies a quad-core Tegra 4 SoC combined with 2GB of RAM, which should ensure the device is able to keep up with most of the tasks you throw at it. And because the insides have been fitted with GeForce GPU, users will be able to output 4K resolution via the HDMI connection.

Other specifications include:

- 64GB onboard storage with microSDXC (tablet) & SDXC (dock) slots - 5MP F/2.4 rear camera with auto focus & 1080p Full HD video recording and 1.2MP front camera with 720p HD video recording - Wireless 802.11a/b/g/n (dual-band) with Miracast, Bluetooth 3.0 + EDR - Accelerometer, ambient light, e-compass, gyroscope - Tablet: Speaker with ASUS SonicMaster technology, microphone - Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

The keyboard dock comes with its own docks, including a USB 3.0 ports and microSDXC card slot. Apart from providing users with the means to type their emails/documents more swiftly, the keyboard dock bundles an extra 14Wh lithium polymer which can provide up to 4 hours of extra battery life.

Add that to the existing 13 hours the 31Wh lithium battery living inside the tablet, which should provide users with 13 hours of life and you get a pretty strong total of 17 hours.

Look for the ASUS TF701T towards the end of February in Dark Grey flavor and selling for AUD$799 / $721 / €523.
