Earlier last month, new models from the ASUS Transformer Pad family, the TF103 and TF303, were spotted on the website of design firm red dot 21, showing their faces in a couple of images. Anyway, now it appears that one of them, specifically the TF103, will soon land on the market.

Two separate online retailers have posted the full specifications of the upcoming model, reports MobileGeeks. Apparently, the Acer Iconia A1-840 won’t be the only Android tablet to run the Intel Bay Trail platform to come out of a brand vendor in the upcoming few months.

The ASUS Transformer Pad TF103C will come sporting a 10-inch screen, a keyboard dock, Android and draw power from an Intel Atom processor.

Although under the hood there lies one of the latest Intel Bay Trail chip, the rest of the hardware points towards the fact that the convertible will be a mid-range device. This fact concurs with Intel’s strategy of providing its low-power chips to more affordable devices, in order to compete with ARM-based products.

So the ASUS Transformer Pad TF103C has a 10.1-inch screen with a pretty standard resolution (1280 x 800 pixels) and draws power from a quad-core 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z3745 (up to 1.83 GHz in Turbo Boost), fitted with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable with microSDHC cards as far as 64GB), plus your usual 16GB of ASUS Webstorage.

Other specifications include 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a USB 2.0 port and a pretty decent 5060mAh Battery. Note that the device will ship with Android 4.4. KitKat out of the box.

Furthermore, the new Transformer Pad comes equipped with dual cameras (2MP in the front and 0.3MP on the back).

The retail website lists it in both black and silver paint jobs at prices between €300 / $415 and €350 / $485, which is quite affordable.

We are still waiting on information about the other Transformer Pad TF303 model. According to the rumors available so far, this model will bump things a little bit in the display department.

The TF303 might sell as the ASUS Transformer Pad TF303 Infinity and could turn out to be a premium version/replacement of the Transformer Pad TF701.

Like the TF103C, it will run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and draw power from Intel’s latest Bay Trail chip architecture. Furthermore, it will boast a full HD 10-inch display (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution) and come with a long battery life. However, take this info with a grain of salt for the time being, as the model hasn't showed up in retail yet.
