Last week at Computex, ASUS introduced a whole herd of convertible 2-in-1 devices, including the entry level Transformer Pad TF103.

The device arrives with Android 4.4 KitKat out the box and offers a 10.1-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Under the hood lies an Intel Z374 Bay Trail processor fitted with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Even if the tablet with keyboard dock hasn't been out long, the guys over at Tablet-News have already benchmarked it, showing us this is quite a capable device.

In Quadrant, the device scored 11,593 points which is comparable to the 12k points the ASUS TF701T model with Tegra 4 CPU scored.

On the other hand, in AnTuTu the device managed to reach 33,463 points, thus beating the Tegra 4 model by a worthy 7,000 points. Surprisingly, the new entry-level ASUS Transformer Pad TF103 managed to surpass the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition premium tablet.

As for NenaMark 2.0, the Transformer hit 60.6 FPS, beating the Tegra 4 model again. Moving on, in 3DMark the tablet got 14,063, a score comparable with Apple’s iPad Air.

If we’re to take Benchmarks as a real indication of the device’s performance, it certainly seems Intel’s new 64-bit CPU is quite a power-house.
