Those wishing to buy the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer have double the reason to rejoice as it seems that not only has the WiFi version begun shipping for $399, but the one with 3G has, at least, been given pricing and availability information.

Reviews and more or less everything that has happened to the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer so far seem to point towards the same thing, namely that it is one of the best Android tablets out there, or at least one of the most popular, though the latter does warrant the former, in some measure at least.

Basically, back when it first went on sale, the Tegra 2-based Android model sold out in a matter of hours or less.

Now, after more than a few weeks of its maker scrambling to put together a big enough supply of them, shipments have resumed.

One online store has the WiFi version up for order, with 16 GB of storage (at $399) or 32 GB of NAND Flash ($499).

Nevertheless, some customers might not be willing to buy them without the extra asset of 3G connectivity.

Turns out that, at least in Italy, shipments of the 3G-enabled Eee Pad Transformer will start in August, though an exact day is still unavailable.

The 16 GB and 32 GB versions will bear the names of TF101G-1B034A and TF101G-1B047A, respectively.

The price will be of 499 Euro for the former and 599 Euro for the latter, not too different from all the other Android slates on sale at present, though about $100 more than the WiFi-only equivalents.

For those that want a reminder, the Tegra 2-based 10.1-inch devices have HDMI outputs, 5 megapixel webcams on the back, 1.3 megapixel cameras on the front and, or course, an optional docking station (sold for an extra 150 Euro or so).
