ASUS may have every intention of growing as a business as quickly as possible, but it might hit a snag according to Open Platform business executive Jackie Hsu. In a way, it already has really.

What Digitimes most recently said about ASUS is one of those reports that may have people laughing out loud or at least snickering at the irony.

Then again, it isn't so much what Digitimes said, but what one of ASUS's own high-ranking staff members revealed to the rumor and news site.

Apparently, ASUS might not be able to grow as a business as quickly and greatly as it wants.

Seeing plans fail to become reality happened in the past, to various IT players, but the reason given for the doubts in regards to ASUS' future is what sets this situation apart from the others.

If what Open Platform business executive Jackie Hsu said was true, then ASUS doesn't have enough talent.

To elaborate, ASUS does not have as many talented staff members as it would need for its future plans to come to fruition.

The IT player is already looking for people, but it is having a harder time that it would like.

It doesn't help that the planned strategy is supposed to set ASUS apart from competitors through both unique products and better marketing.

To succeed in its goals, the corporation needs to make those “outstanding” products, convince people they are worth buying over more familiar electronics and offer convenient prices somehow.

That's quite a bit of necessary talent, hence the new 500 vacancies in product R&D (research and development), marketing and sales.

Apple and Samsung will be the main rivals from now on, since they are already rising quickly. We'll wait and see if Asustek is fast enough to gather up all the minds it needs.
