One of the first brand vendors to launch new products at IFA 2014 was Lenovo. So, the world’s largest PC maker unveiled its latest budget creation, coming in the form of the IdeaTab S8 tablet.

The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, offers FHD and will be marketed at a decent price ($199 / €199). But Lenovo isn't the only one tempting budget consumers who are craving an Android 4.4 KitKat tablet.

Among smartwatches, sleek laptops and budget notebooks, ASUS found the time to roll out a new Android tablet that’s quite reminiscent of the IdeaTab S8.

Introducing the MeMO Pad 7 ME572C tablet – a device that takes advantage of a 7-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution (as spotted at Liliputing).

The powerhouse of the product is an Intel Atom Z3560 processor (of the Moorefield variety) fitted with 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card slot).

ASUS also throws in two cameras (5MP on the back and 2MP up in front), 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a battery that should last users up to 11 hours. Last but not least, the products have an ambient light sensor, GPS, stereo speakers and microSD card reader.

The producing company will be offering models with 3G and 4G capabilities as well as the Wi-Fi only version. Interested parties will be able to grab the small device in black, red or rose champagne colors.

The new ASUS tablet will be sold for the same price as the Lenovo IdeaTab S8 meaning €199 / $199.
