At one time, being fashionable or making a fashionable or stylish product generally implied that eco-friendliness and efficiency were disregarded in favor of enabling an aspect pleasing to the eyes. This, however, no longer seems to be the case if the newest Designo LCD monitor from ASUS is anything to go by. Merging style with an eco-friendly construction, the Designo LS246H complements high-performance imagery with an equally appealing construction.

ASUS' fresh display is constructed with a mirror-finished front bezel and has a transparent, crystalline base. Its profile measures only 16.5 mm and the stand, as is the case with all Designo monitors, is ring-shaped and boasts the Ergo-Fit technology, which allows end-users to make tilt angle adjustments with just one finger. Of course, such design advantages would hardly be worthwhile if the actual performance of the device were not on the same level.

As such, the 23.6-inch display has a maximum resolution of 1,920 x 1,080, a brightness of 250cd/㎡, a response time of only 2ms and a dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1. The monitor is also equipped with HDMI and D-Sub connectors. Furthermore, in order to refine the quality of content displayed in Full HD resolution, the new model also comes with the Splendid Video Intelligence technology.

Just the specs and the design of the product could be said to be enough for most fashion-conscious end-users, but ASUS went even further and made the new display as environment-friendly as possible. As such, the manufacturing process to create the monitor uses 50% less hazardous materials and even power savings of up to 40% are possible.

Already available for pre-order, the ASUS Designo LS246H has a price tag of about 312 Euro. Full information on the product, as well as the other newly-introduced Designo LCDs may be found in the official press release.
