The most recent reports involving a certain product from ASUS have not been all that encouraging for those that are eagerly waiting to get it, but it looks like those from one European country need wait no longer.

ASUS has truly been making a name for itself on the tablet market, having already shipped hundreds of thousand tablets.

The Eee Pad Transformer has, so far, been the start of the show, so to speak, and the Transformer 2, supposedly on track for October, 2011, will likely pick up the task.

Of course, that particular product is not the only item that ASUS intends to commercialize, as the Eee Pad Slider is also part of its plans.

This particular slate, even though it has been spoken of only in few official announcements and several reports so far, might have finally arrived, at least in one country.

Not long ago, it was said that there would be no Slider with just 16 GB of storage, September being scheduled to bring more capacious models.

Regardless, the fact was that, until now, the general expectation was that only autumn will see sales starting.

Now, an even more recent report says that the Netehrlands already have it up for order, the price being $499, no different from the so-called 'standard' of these days.

For those that don't remember, the Slider is more or less unique because it has a physical keyboard which can slide underneath and behind the main body, instead of being an optional accessory like with the Transformer.

It is possible that the company is using the Netherlands region as a sort of test, to see how much demand it can expect for this model, especially with its other tablet already selling so well. Just which of the two is more appealing is something that prospective buyers will have to decide for themselves.
