It appears that, since CeBIT 2011 is going to start tomorrow (March 1, 2011), news about the items on display there have already begun to show up, such as one concerning an ASUS tablet that was first revealed back in January.

Most ARM-based tablets running honeycomb were only revealed during the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2011) expo.

However, some slates were previewed as far back as the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2011).

ASUS was one of the companies that had tablet devices on hand and the time, one of which went by the name of Eee Pad MeMO.

It is this very electronic that was just spotted in Hannover, Germany, at the CeBIT 2011 trade show, by the folks over at Android Community.

Fortunately, ASUS was generous enough to put the full spec sheet next to the product, so that prospective customers will know exactly what they are looking at.

Basically, it is a 7-inch tablet powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8260 chipset, whose processor has a clock speed of 1.2 GHz.

Said processor is backed up by 1 GB of RAM, while the amount of internal storage can be of up to a solid 64 GB.

The display itself is an LCD with a native resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels, although it is implied that the overall hardware of the MeMO can cope with even 1,080p HD media playback. The microHDMI port seems to support this assumption.

Other features of the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) slate are a 5-megapixel camera on the back (with a LED flash), a microSDHC card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack and microUS, for peripherals.

As for wireless and web support, ASUS threw in Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and WiFi b/g/n, plus GPS. Other specs are a gyroscope, a g-sensor, a light-sensor and digital compass.

Unfortunately, nothing was said about the price of the tablet. Hopefully, this final detail will be unveiled during the CeBIT 2011 even (March 1-5).
