ASUS definitely did not have just a few things on display at CES, 2011, and it seems that a certain one of its laptops, even though it has yet to be officially launched, was spotted alive and well.

As one would have expected, ASUS's booth at CES held its fair share of new mobile computers, not just desktops.

One of them was spotted working by Liliputing, said device bearing the name of Eee PC 1215B and resembling, design-wise, the rest of the 1215 notebooks that ASUS has on sale.

The placard near the notebook indicated that the central piece of the machine is the AMD E-350 Zacate accelerated processing unit.

There was even a benchmarking result there, showing that the 1.6 GHz E-350 scoring almost twice as much as the Intel Atom N550 dual-core in PCMark05.

The really interesting result, however, was the one registered under 3DMark06, where E-350 scored 2,300 points, a veritable mammoth compared to the N550's 154.

In addition to the processor, the notebook can be equipped with between 2 GB and 4 GB of RAM, while the built-in APU graphics (AMD Radeon) handle all video tasks (and justify the 3DMark06 score as well).

Liliputing also mentioned a hard disk drive, with an internal storage capacity of 250 GB to 320 GB, plus the full range of connectivity and I/O options.

To be more specific, ASUS implemented, among other things, Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a card reader (probably), Ethernet and USB.

All the hardware is crammed inside a 12.1-inch frame with a 16:9 HD LED-backlit LCD, weighs 3.2 pounds and operates on the energy provided by a 6-cell battery. Finally, the chassis may be colored black, silver or red.

The model on show was black and loaded with certain applications, like the ASUS Super Hybrid Engine, which can overclock or underclock the CPU. The price was not mentioned.
