Yesterday ASUS has introduced the ASUS EN9600GT SILENT/HTDI/512M graphics card, an efficient and noiseless graphics solution. According to its specifications, the new graphics card is 10oC cooler than reference design boards, while generating 0dB noise. The efficiency of heat dissipation is guaranteed by the incorporation of the latest thermal solution, the V-Cool Heatsink. The system features the V-Engine concept and the Intercooler technology, both providing stable performance and quiet operations at the same time.

The V-Cool Heatsink, with his ingenious racing car design, combines the top-of-the-line cooling performance with a stylish outlook. The V-fins are ideally arranged as to dissipate heat evenly, while the surface area exposed to the air is maximized due to the Intercooler technology combined with the high-density zipper array fin module. Three more powerful heatpipes are arranged as to enhance heat transfer on the heatsink. The material used for the cooling system is aluminum alloy, which is lighter and provides great thermal conductivity. This way, through the V-Cool Heatsink, the heat is quickly transferred away from the graphics card and the temperature dropped with 10oC in comparison with the reference design of GPUs, while no noise is generated.

The engine clock of the GPU runs at 650MHz, while the shade clock is set at 1625MHz. The 512MB DDR3 video memory has the clock at 1.8GHz. Built on a GeForce 9600GT graphics engine, the ASUS EN9600GT SILENT supports a maximum DVI resolution of 2560*1600. The card features two DVI-I output slots, but it comes with HDMI and D-Sub adaptors that expand its functionality. Also, other cables and adaptors are included in the shipping box, as well as the driver and utilities needed.

For better cooling results, ASUS recommends the use of a System Fan chassis, this also ensuring the efficiency of the silent feature. The fact that 0dB noise is generated does not affect the performance of the GPU. The temperature being 10oC lower offers a stable performance. To enhance this performance, ASUS provides even an overclocking utility, the new SmartDoctor. With this application, the Shader Clock and the Engine Clock on the GPU can be tweaked to provide performance boosts without having to reboot your computer or flash you BIOS.

There are even more solutions provided by ASUS for better graphic performance. As the company wants to keep in line with the Rock Solid promise for quality, some more features were added for the EN9600GT SILENT/HTDI/512M. There is an EMI shield reducing interference with 66% to provide more stable signals. The temperature can be lowered with almost 10o due to the DIP Spring Chokes, while the LF PAK MOS guarantees less heat generation but more power. Also, power loss is lowered through the Japan-made polymer capacitors.

As ASUS is interested in providing the best quality for its users, home theater enthusiasts can also enjoy the ASUS EN9600GT SILENT graphics card, for it is HDMI certified.
