With each year, gaming machines always evolve in one way or another, with players seeking the ultimate configurations capable of running their favorite titles. To appease this strong segment of the market, ASUS introduced its latest Republic of Gamers notebook PC, the ROG G73Jh, which promises not only bleeding-edge performance, but “happier wrists and hands” as well.

Though it is just one of the multiple models released by the hardware manufacturer, the G73Jh may be considered especially noteworthy, since it is set to satisfy even the most avid of notebook enthusiasts. The machine does this through a seamless merger of the latest Core i7 processors from Intel and the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 card that supports DirectX 11 graphics.

Of course, the actual laptop will be subject to customization according to user purchase, but, according to the company, the optimum configuration will be able to score no less than 7,260 points on the Performance preset of the 3DMark Vantage benchmark.

The laptop will employ the Core i7-720QM CPU and will be equipped with up to 8GB of DDR3 random access memory (RAM). The aforementioned DirectX 11-level graphics will be displayed on a 17-inch screen with a maximum resolution of 1,920 x 1080. In addition, the system will have up to 1TB of HDD storage space and will make use of a combo Blu-ray/DVD drive.

The laptop will be equipped with a 2-megapixel webcam, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, 802.11b/g WiFi, an 8-in-1 card reader and a mini VGA connector. In addition, the keyboard is raised in a natural, five-degree angle, which will allow for the aforementioned “happier wrists and hands.” Finally, the machine will feature EAX Advanced HD 4.0 audio.

Unfortunately, the company did not disclose either the launch date or the estimated product price. Considering the components used, however, one shouldn't expect it to come cheap.
