Albeit being an active presence in Barcelona at MWC 2014, ASUS has taken the opportunity to launch the GTX750TI-OC-2GD5 and GTX750-PHOC-1GD5 graphics cards in India.

The models are based on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti and GeForce 750 GPUs respectively. The two GPUs are built upon the new Maxwell microarchitecture, which has been advertised as capable of providing improved performance with lower power consumption that has reportedly been cut in half compared to previous gens.

ASUS takes things a little bit further and overclocks the cards (compared to NVIDIA’s reference design) to provide smoother performance. The GTX 750 has a base clock of 1059MHz which can go as far as 1137MHz, while the GTX 750 Ti starts at 1072MHz and can be upped as far as 1150 MHz.

ASUS has also added dust-proof fans and claims this will keep the motherboards running longer and smoother. The GTX 750 Ti bundles two fans equipped with improved airflow technology. Also note the concrete-core chocked and MOSFETs have been improved too and are now able to take more heat/stress.

GeForce GTX 750 Ti features a 640 “stream processor” cores and the GTX 750 has 512. The 750 Ti has 5GB of GDDR5 RAM, while the 740 only has 1GB. Last but not least, the ASUS cards come equipped with the GPU Tweak utility, a tool developed to allow users to overclock their GPUs without strain.

The GeForce GTX 750 Ti will go on sale for Rs. 15,000 / $242 / €176 while the GTX 750 will sell for Rs. 12,000 / $194 / €140.
