Gigabyte isn't the only Taiwanese motherboard maker that will be on show at this year's Consumer Electronics Show, in Las Vegas, Nevada. ASUS, one of the world's leading vendors of high-end desktop platforms will also be showcasing its new line of Intel-based mobos, including new models that are based on the H57 and H55 chipsets, supporting Intel's latest Clakdale processors. The new boards will be available in ATX and micro-ATX form factors.

The company is planning three new boards, which will most likely be on show, at CES, on the 7th of January. The lineup includes the Intel H57-based P7H57D-V EVO and the H55-based P7H55D-M EVO and the P7H55M-PRO, all of which are expected to become available at online retailers starting on January 7th 2010.

According to available details, the P7H57D and P7H55 series of motherboards will be featured with the GPU Boost technology, enabling users to adjust the GPU frequency, consequently enhancing the system's performance. This option will be available through the proprietary Turbo V EVO utility, while also providing users with support for a reduced energy consumption, through the integrated ASUS Energy Processing Unit (EPU) engine.

These new boards are part of the company's Xtreme Design series, meaning that they will enable support for increased performance on the new hybrid processors, enabling users to boost performance through the Turbo V Evo application. In addition to all of the features that we mentioned above, the ATX-based P7H57D-Evo model will also sport the next-generation USB 3.0 and SATA 6G technology, enabling consumers to take advantage of the fast transfer speeds of the latest interface technologies.

As mentioned before, the new boards will be showcased during CES and are expected to be become available later this month. Unfortunately, for pricing details you will have to wait until the Taiwanese company will officially announce the debut of the new boards.
