ASRock has been revealed to be working on quite a number of products based on Intel platforms. One project that the company was revealed to be working on was an Intel Atom-compatible mini-ITX motherboard based on the NVIDIA ION chipset. One of the latest endeavors, however, seems to be a micro-ATX mainboard with support for LGA 1156 central processing units.

Among the more notable devices of the hardware maker are its previous H55 motherboards and other products, such as an NVIDIA ION-based nettop capable of Blu-ray playback. The latest motherboard that the company is gearing up to release is one using the micro-ATX form factor and capable of automatic overclocking.

The Taiwanese company's fifth H55 motherboard will be called H55M-LE and will have high-performance capabilities despite its size. The only major limiting feature, as is the case with most boards built on this form factor, is the implementation of a single PCI Espress x16 slot. This fact means that high-performance SLI and CrossFireX configurations are out of the question, but the board seems to have an ace of its own. More specifically, the BIOS includes the 'Turbo 50' function, which supposedly increases the overall performance by 50% through the automatic overclocking of the CPU, graphics core and memory.

As more accurate specifications go, the upcoming motherboard has a black PCB, two DDR3-2600 memory slots and four SATA 3 Gbps ports. I/O options and connectivity options include D-Sub and DVI outputs, Gigabit Ethernet and 7.1 channel audio. Furthermore, the motherboard features the Instant boot functionality and can accommodate both LGA 1156 and LGA 775 coolers. Other ASRock-specific features include Good Night LED, OC DNA, EuP. Multi Speed Fan Control and C.C.O. (Combo Cooler Option).

Set to cost less than 65 Euro, the H55M-LE micro-ATX motherboard from ASRock will likely make its appearance sometime next month.
