Apparently, AOC decided this was a good time to launch a pair of monitors aimed at the business sector, so it went ahead and introduced the 22-inch and 24-inch e2219Ph and e2436Pa.

AOC Europe is one of those companies that tends to give its products names that aren't particularly easy on the tongue.

That doesn't mean they aren't easy on the eyes, though, as is made more than clear by the e2219Ph and e2436Pa.

Set to debut around the middle of next month, they are more or less similar, with the exception of their native resolutions, screen diagonal length and connectors.

The e2436Pa is the stronger of the pair, measuring 24 inches and featuring a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.

In other words, it has support for the Full HD (full high-definition) image quality.

The other product, e2219Ph, measures 22 inches and is 'limited' to 1,680 x 1,050 pixels, which is still quite a way above HD (1,366 x 768 pixels).

Both displays have response times of 5ms, as well as a dynamic contrast ratio of 20,000,000:1, quite a bit for business-oriented panels.

The WLED backlighting obviously has something to do with this, as well as the power consumption of just about 30W.

Other specifications include a static contrast ratio of 1,000:1 and D-Sub and DVI video inputs.

Of course, it should not be forgotten that the e2436Pa has an extra advantage in the form of an HDMI input.

November 2011 is when shipments of both displays will commence, around the middle of the month or later.

The price of the 22-incher is 169 Euro, which is about the same as $233.35, while the 24-inch e2219Ph will ship in exchange for 189 Euro ($260.97).
