Coming to once again expand the wide range of existing display solutions, AOC Europe has brought for two new monitors with high DCR and Full HD support, namely the e2240Vwa and e2440Vwa, which have screen sizes of 21.5 inches and 24 inches, respectively.

LED backlights have become preeminent on the market of consumer-oriented personal computers and it seems that WLED lights are getting a significant bit of attention recently.

AOC Europe has just unleashed a pair of monitors that make use of this very backlighting technology, both sharing most of their specifications except the diagonal length.

Going by the names of e2240Vwa and e2440Vwa, the 21.5-inch and 24-inch models have the same resolution, response time, DCR, brightness and connectivity options.

For those interested in numbers, the native resolution of the displays is of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, which means that Full HD videos are fully supported.

The products also share their brightness of 250 cd/m2, as well as the dynamic contrast ratio of a full 20,000,000:1.

Not only that, but the monitors have a response time of 5ms and use D-Sub and DVI connectors to interface with a variety of graphics cards.

As for their designs, they have nature-inspired shapes decorating their backs, as well as sleek bezels.

Other specifications include 16.7 million colors, horizontal/vertical viewing angles of 170 and 160 degrees, respectively.

Finally, both have been granted Energy Star rating, which means that they also have a significant degree of energy efficiency.

Said efficiency even seems to be reflected in the power consumptions of 25W for the 21.5-incher and 28W for the e2440Vwa.

The AOC e2440Vwa can be seen in detail here, whereas the e2240Vwa is listed here, both with their full range of specifications.

Prices have not exactly been announced, unfortunately, but the e2240Vwa is, reportedly, already on sale, priced at 140 Euro.
