Until the end of the third quarter, AMD is expected to release a new series of desktop processors based on the Llano architecture, and recently three of these upcoming APUs, together with pricing, were listed on the website of several online retailers.

The new APUs are the A6-3500, the A6-3600 and the A8-3800, all of these featuring a TDP of 65W and support for AMD's Turbo Core technology.

Making our way from the bottom, the first chip that we encounter is the triple-core A6-3500, which has a base frequency of 2.1GHz and a maximum Turbo frequency of 2.4GHz.

The APU also features 3MB of Level 2 cache memory and an integrated Radeon HD 6530D GPU sporting 320 stream processors clocked at 433MHz.

The same specs are also shared by the next APU in AMD's lineup, the A6-3600, but this time all the four processing cores available inside the chip are enabled to deliver better multi-threaded performance.

This leads us to the quad-core A8-3800, which is the fastest APU of the three as it comes with a default 2.4GHz operating frequency that can be increased up to 2.7GHz by the Turbo Core technology.

Graphics is provided by the integrated Radeon HD 6550D graphics core with 400 shader units working at 600MHz.

The APUs were listed on the websites of two different retailers, and range from around $104 for the triple-core A6-3500, to $126 and $150 for the AMD A6-3600 and A6-3800, respectively.

Right now, we don't know if these are the final recommended retail prices set by AMD for the three APUs. The launch date of the three processors is also unknown.

By the end of this year, AMD will also launch yet another Llano desktop APU, A8-3870 Black Edition that will feature an unlocked multiplier, 3.1GHz quad processing cores with 4MB of Level 2 cache memory, an integrated dual-channel DDR3-1866MHz controller, and Radeon HD 6550D graphics.
