According to reghardware.co.uk, AMD rescheduled the release of its anticipated dual-core Turion 64 X2 mobile processors to June 2006. If the chip maker does delay the chips' debut, it's also possible that the release of the single-core relatives will be postponed, the report claims.

Turion 64 X2 models are named 'Taylor' and will support 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM. They have 256KB of L2 cache per core, though AMD will also offer a 512KB cache-per-core variant, entitled 'Trinidad', and a single-core version called 'Keene'.

Both chips will go with Socket S1 motherboards, and since AMD's other next-generation, DDR 2-supporting CPU interconnects are believed to be coming in June, it wont be a surprise to see the chip maker deciding to release the mobile version in the same timeframe.

The report also confirms versions that support 800MHz DDR2 and will debut in H1 2007.
