The Radeon R9 290X is supposed to come out this week, tomorrow or Friday depending on where you are in the world, but the same cannot be said about the Radeon R9 290.

R9 290X/290 are the only R9/R7 cards still not released, and they won't be available with custom PCBs and coolers at first.

Radeon R9 290 is a bit weaker than the R9 290X, in order to strike a lower price.

Now, according to CardPU Forums, we know when the product will come out: October 31, a week after the 290X. No doubt AMD wants to ensure the 290X doesn't have to share the spotlight.

The Radeon R9 290 has 2,560 Stream processors and 160 TMUs, 4 GB GDDR5 VRAM at 5 GHz, a and memory interface of 512 bits.

The GPU clock is of up to 946 MHz and the memory bandwidth is of 320 GB/s.
