This summer AMD's Radeon 300 series aims for your wallets

After a long prelude of leaks, teases, specs and performance speculations, AMD finally showed the world its latest Radeon 300 series at E3 a few days ago.

Closely enough, retailers both in US and China quickly got the new cards even before the conference began, and people talked about possible specs, GPU models, memory and so on. When the conference started it was quickly obvious that the star of the show will be the Fury X and obviously everybody was keen to find out more details about it.

Quickly afterwards when more Fury models were released, people thought only about how the new Fiji GPU could actually work with the Nano and AC version of the Furies. In the end, Quantum Project was unveiled and the Radeon 300 series was completely forgotten by the public.

To keep things in perspective

However, unlike the Fury series and the mastodon that Quantum Project is, the Radeon 300 series is actually the real bread and butter of AMD, being probably the cards that will bring most of the revenues to AMD thanks to their accessibility and current game requirements. Keeping in mind that 4K is still a thing of the near future and 1080p resolutions on Ultra settings are still something rather difficult to attain by the majority of world gamers, a more accessible card will still sell better that new and radical designs.

It seems like this summer's launches will mean a big bet for AMD to counter Nvidia, as it completely overhauls its line-up top to bottom, hoping to beat the Green Team on all levels, from low spec to high-end video cards.

AMD's rollout plans will probably include the launching of the Radeon Fury X in under a week on 24 of June, with even more specifications and details, and that will be a good time to check-out reviews and benchmarks that'll compare it with Nvidia's GTX 980Ti and Titan X, afterwards a launch of Radeon Fury X will follow quickly in July 14th.
