AMD has chosen Asus as his only 4x4 integrator

AMD has done all sorts of experiments this year, most of them regarding the acquisition of Ati but none of them has produced such strong feelings as did the idea of using Asus as its only manufacturer of 4x4 motherboards. That is not the greatest surprise ever if you take into account that AMD motherboard integrators feel betrayed by AMD and accuse them of acting exactly like INTEL.

Ever since AMD existed it was considered a better channel supplier than INTEL. Needless to say that AMD has always shown itself as a little company challenging the big giant INTEL. Now that the "little" status has begun to change, so have the ideas about the way this company should act. An un-named company accused AMD of, "acting like Intel". "We won't help them in future", they said. Manufacturers claim that AMD knows its 4x4 platform won't surpass INTEL and they are quite astonished about the fact that AMD will risk a bet on a single platform integrator Nvidia already employed Asustek to manufacture all of its first-generation 680a motherboards. Now AMD is doing the exact same thing with the upcoming of their new 4x4 chipsets, leaving other manufacturers outside. And that's not a wise since the 4x4 platform will have limited availability. Let's hope it won't also have limited success.
