In an ad for the DVD disc set for season 2 (which came out sooner than it should have), AMC spilled the beans on its own show, revealing that one of the leading characters will die in the finale.
The ad in question has been pulled and the link now leads nowhere. An investigation is underway at AMC to determine who's responsible for such a major faux-pas.
The ad for the DVD set read, in part, that it would include special footage on “the making of the barn, an extended zombie gut scene, Shane's last episode…” - it's that last part that will definitely get fans' attention.
With the cat now out of the bag, AMC's next move regarding the finale is anybody's guess.
