14 DAY TRIAL // For months, Ariana Grande has been plagued by all kinds of diva rumors, some of them nastier than others. We might never know if there’s any truth to them, but we do know this: whenever Ariana takes to the stage, she delivers – flawlessly so.
If she’s a diva in real life, at least she’s got the talent to show for it.
The American Music Awards 2014 were last night, at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, airing live on TNT and ABC. Ariana was one of the performers of the night and perhaps the most spectacular, taking to the stage twice: once with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj for “Bang Bang,” and once with The Weeknd for a stripped down version of “Love Me Harder.”
Yes, the half-ponytail is back, so those fans hoping she would ditch it for good after the EMAs 2014 must be feeling a bit disappointed right now. On the bright side, Ariana put on an amazing performance on both songs, and even managed to strut her stuff in those ridiculously high heels. At this point, we can call that an achievement on its own.
Ariana came to the show with her brother, Frankie Grande, who was most recently seen on Big Brother. He hosted the red carpet ceremony and was cheering for her from his seat during both songs.
Ariana and Frankie are very close, with the former Nickelodeon star admitting in a recent interview that his being gay was what turned her away from Catholicism, towards Kabballah.
