The band also plans a world tour with a replacement member

Earlier this year, there was a report that said AC/DC was breaking up for good after decades of making good music. The report claimed that one of the members of the band, Malcolm Young, had become affected by an unspecified illness that left him unable to play his instrument.

And since there was a standing agreement between the members of the band to play as long as all of them could still play, with a no replacement policy, many thought that this was going to be the end. It turns out the band is reluctant to go.

After 41 years with the band, Malcolm Young is indeed going to step down from the lineup, but the other members have decided to move on without him. AC/DC have just announced that their 17th studio album will be released on December 1, and it's not going to feature Young.

The last time the rock band put an album out was in 2008, when Black Ice came out, and it went straight to number one in the charts in as many as 31 countries, selling 8 million copies worldwide, according to The Guardian.

Stepping up for Malcolm Young on the upcoming support world tour is going to be Stevie Young, his nephew, who has already signed up for the Rock or Bust World Tour in 2015. He also plays the rhythm guitar on the album.

Frontman for the band Brian Johnson confessed that he planned to call the album “Man Down,” in reference to Young's absence, but he came around to the idea later: “it’s a bit negative and it was probably just straight from the heart. I like that.”
