It seems that not all makers of PCs and consumer electronics have been enjoying the same sort of progress when it comes to their upcoming devices, and eLocity seems to have just delayed its media tablet yet again.

The tablet market has really started to take off now that several models running Windows 7 or a version of Android have already shown up in stores.

Granted, many announced slates have yet to start shipping, them likely to be launched starting with CES 2011 and onwards.

Meanwhile, a certain such product has seen more than one delay, the device in question being one A7.

Developed by eLocity and already listed on Amazon for quite some time, it has already missed its initial availability date by over a month.

The eLocity A7 tablet was originally meant to debut in October, but was pushed back, and it seems that another delay has ensued.

The first clue was how it stopped being available for pre-order on Amazon. In fact, even its price was taken down, so shows this page.

Reports say that availability is now set for the month of December, 2010, which can mean anything from a few days to almost a month.

Still, with the holidays closing in, one can assume that eLocity will do its best to deliver it in time for the shopping season.

Those in need of a reminder will be interested in knowing that A7 is a Tegra 2-based product with 4 GB of built-in storage and 512 MB of RAM.

It also comes with USB 2.0, HDMI, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, 802.11 b/g WiFi, Bluetooth and the Android 2.2 operating system, among other things.

Finally, its price was of $370 before it was taken down along with the expected shipment date. Once sales finally start, the tag should be the same or very close.
