Researchers recommend that women clean their bags more often

First off, it need be said that, while writing this, I cannot help but eye my bag every once in a while. About 50 times per minute, to be more precise.

By the looks of it, recent investigations carried out by scientists in the UK have revealed that, unless regularly cleaned, the average woman bag has high chances to house both E. coli and several other dangerous bacteria such as pseudomonas.

Besides, it can even contain traces of poop, Mirror tells us. Which in turn can be home to a bacterium known to the scientific community as fecal streptococcus.

Researchers say that, since one in three women never clean their handbags and many use them to carry dirty shoes, underwear and other similar items, the findings of this investigation should not come as such a big surprise.

Laptop bags and holdalls aren't exactly clean either. On the contrary, it often happens that they are as dirty as a handbag that has never been cleaned is.
