Intel has really taken its job seriously as promoter of ultrabooks, having started to actively push as many brands as possible towards adopting new laptops.

For those that haven't learned yet, the promise of ultrabooks as cheap as $599 (456 Euro), along with some encouragement from the Santa Clara company, has persuaded many regional brands to place orders.

Positivo, Epson, Mustek, Motion Computing, Onkyo, ViewSonic and WiPro have all chosen to participate, according to Digitimes.

Dell, HP and Lenovo, as the top brands, will probably still get the better end of the deal in terms of shipment volumes, with their higher marketing capability and design preferences.

Still, the smaller brand names shouldn't have trouble scoring sales, as long as they offer smaller prices.

A large number of Ultrabooks is poised to appear during the second quarter of 2012.
