Just about everything one might need for the great outdoors

Are you the type of person that loves to spend a lot of time outside, who's constantly on the run and needs rugged (yet high-tech) instruments that will be able to withstand your very active lifestyle? Well, if that's the case (or if you're simply looking for an uber-cool timepiece to show off) then Timberland has just the thing for you, namely the "Men's Outdoor Performance HT2 Watch", one of the coolest time-telling instruments I've come across lately.

The watch features a black dial with silver colored numerals and hands with a black silicone rubber strap, as well as a steel case with a black PVD (physical vapor deposition) coating, a molecular bond that provides long-term resistance to corrosion, water (down to 30 meters), pollution and everyday wear and tear. Furthermore, the case (57-mm in width) sports a mineral crystal face as well as a turning bezel, used to twist around to the minute hand to measure elapsed time.

And since we're on the subject, it's important to mention the fact that the HT2 is built around a quartz movement system, which uses a tiny quartz crystal that draws power from a battery to provide very accurate time. Furthermore, the watch can also be used in poor lighting conditions or during the night, since it has been equipped with luminous hands and markers.

The timepiece's main dial has three hands (hour, minute and second) with a digital window, while other subdials include a compass and an analog clock. Furthermore, the watch can tell the exact time in no less than 4 different time zones, two analog and two digital.

Since it's designed mainly for outdoor use, the HT2 also comes packed with a few interesting instruments, as for example a barometer that checks atmospheric pressure at current level and sea level, an altimeter that keeps track of the user's altitude in feet and meters, a compass and a thermometer that indicates the outside temperature in Celsius and Fahrenheit degrees.

Additionally, the watch incorporates a chronograph and a tachymeter that allows users to calculate the rate of speed traveled over a measured distance in a particular length of time.

As expected after taking a look at its features, this thing doesn't come cheap at all. Thus, the Timberland HT2 retails for around 345 US dollars, which is quite a hefty sum to pay for such a product. However, for the adventurers on a budget, the people over at Timberland are also offering two less expensive models for "just" 295 US dollars, but you can't expect just about the same features and functionality from these lesser versions.
