Take a peek at how things looked like in the 1940s

A stroke of fate is an interactive detective story framed in a 1940's Germany. So we can call it an adventure game or a point 'n click. And since the game promises to bring authentic locations from that time, Akella decided to show us some screenshots as a proof (like people will actually know if the pictures are authentic or not!).

But we'll have to believe them, since they say that the game developers, SPLine, used real documents and photos to be sure that everything looks exactly as it should. Of course, that is a nice thing to know, but what matters most is that the screenshots look really good, indeed and after I checked them all I really started to feel like a police officer from the 1940s.

Because, after all, that's what A Stroke of Fate is about: Germany, the '40s and you. You, the player, will get to control a real tough guy, a special espionage and sabotage agent and conduct a compelling investigation regarding one of the greatest mysteries of the 20th century: Adolf Hitler's death. So you will get the chance to squeeze into Adolf's closest minions, while acting like the biggest patriot Germany has ever seen, since you'll always have attentive Gestapo eyes following your every move.

The most challenging task in your espionage career will come with "A Stroke of Fate" - you will have to prepare the assassination of "Lieber Fuhrer" himself. So get ready to really "breath" those times (if the sound and the story are as good as these newly released screenshots) and interact, among others, with controversial but still powerful personalities like Hitler, Himmler, Muller, and Goebbels.

So if you are into solving puzzles in a good looking adventure game, you should know that A Stroke of Fate is scheduled for a Q1 2008 release, only for the PC owners. Now, take a look at these amazing screenshots:
