We received a fair share of games during the last three months and all of them had only one goal: to keep us busy during the holidays (this means that we had no time to eat, which means that video games fight against obesity so game-haters, shut up!). End of the bad joke, back to the game. Requiem: Bloodymare will be released in the US in early 2008 and it promises to bring some real gore to us.

Everything happens in the world of Ethergia, where the players take on the role of the Temperions - some beings created through genetic engineering and arcane rites. Their goal will be simple (apparently): to spill all the blood the walking nightmares stalking the lands have. And there shall be blood!

Requiem: Bloodymare uses the Havok engine to bring to life these lands where the misuse of science and magic have created horribly, blood thirsty mutated monsters and different kinds of grotesque creatures. The players will have to battle against all these and many more and their killer delight will be further enhanced by sequences of bloody, gory graphics.

Peter Kang, CEO of Gravity Interactive, the game's developer, said: "We've dedicated more than four years of intense development to be sure Requiem: Bloodymare really brings something unique in the MMO market." And they didn't release a single screenshot, for Heaven's sake! Even Duke Nukem did better!

However, the CEO says: "We very consciously decided when we started the project that we wanted to diversify our offering to include much more than the cute, anime inspired gameplay of our previous hits. Requiem isn't a game for kids; this is for mature players that are looking for hardcore content that conjures up their deepest nightmares and fears," and we are ready to wait a little bit more for a screenshot, a trailer, anything. Until then, we have no other option than to wait and hope for the best.
