Bass excellence with a menacing look

For those who are definitely into great-sounding homes, Anthony Gallo is a name well-known and looked at with a deep reverence as it is a synonym for exceptional loudspeaker design and exquisite quality for both sound and acoustic technology. Bringing a Gallo piece of sound tech in your room instantly draws attention both visually and more important ? acoustically; the Anthony Gallo gear hasn't been made to be easily overlooked and forgotten. And now, with the announcement of their new bass system, things are even "worse".

"This new sub is certainly not for the faint of heart". That's what Derek Covin, national sales vice president for Anthony Gallo Acoustics, quoted by Electronic House.

Indeed he couldn't be closer to reality as the new bass machine, the TR-3 builds on the acclaimed and awarded reliability and quality of the smaller predecessor, the TR-2 subwoofer, but takes things to a new level. The new Anthony Gallo sub has been designed to respond to the needs of audio enthusiasts that think there can never be enough bass ? sporting pretty much of the older model's technology, the TR-3 has had everything re-tuned and carefully optimized for even more performance.

While the generic shape of the steel cabinet remained the same, "a traditional bass cannon", an aluminum cone woofer was added for a new sound dimension. The rounded enclosure dramatically helps the sonic reproduction as it breaks the stationary waves usually developing in the loudspeakers' cabinets; even more, as the Anthony Gallo TR-3 presses hard on the linear response issue, a cavity coloration-free sound is the best thing you can start from.

The Anthony Gallo TR-3 can throw a most serious 300W RMS power in your room, being sufficiently loud for a chamber of very large proportions. It comes with 22-280Hz frequency range and boasts its own EQ that can reach +6dB. Prices and availability TBA soon.
