The BlueAnt X5

BlueAnt, an Australian-based manufacturer, today released its latest wireless multi-function BlueAnt X5 Stereo Bluetooth Headset, which comes with multiple features to stream stereo music from a mobile phone, PDA, iPod, MP3 player or computer, informs Mobile Whack.

It also features Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), an innovative music-dedicated technology which enables users to send CD quality stereo music from one device to another without using wires. Moreover, the X5 can pair with up to 10 devices and also supports Audio Visual Remote Control (AVRCP), Headset and Handsfree profiles and operates within a range of 10 meters, as it also offers 12 hours of talk time and up to 200 hours of standby time.

"The X5 puts a whole new spin on integration between devices, giving you the freedom to use the wireless X5 across a range of applications such as gaming, mobile communication and listening to your favorite tunes," said Taisen Maddern, BlueAnt Wireless Managing Director.

The X5 features an included Bluetooth Audio Streamer capable of streaming wireless music to the X5 from any audio source, and the AVRCP Bluetooth profile which allows remote control of Windows Media Player, Winamp, WinDVD and other compatible music player applications, using special buttons.

The user will get a 3.5mm line-in jack on the audio streamer for connection to iPod or MP3 player, and a detachable microphone which uses a mini USB plug.

The BlueAnt wireless multi-function BlueAnt X5 Stereo Bluetooth Headset is already available for $199 through Telstra, Dick Smith, Tandy and Powerhouse Stores.
