Some people would do anything to get an “ideal” body no matter the pain or the cost

It’s a known fact: some people would do anything, suffer any kind of pain and spend ridiculous amounts of money on plastic surgery, just so they can get their “ideal” body. The next 20/20 Going to Extremes episode will tackle precisely this topic.

It will air next week on ABC, but a teaser for it is already available online (embedded below), offering us a glimpse into this fascinating world of plastic surgery.

First up is a human Kent doll, a man from New York who has spent $100,000 (€77,178) and plans to spend even more until he gets a perfectly chiseled body and flawless face.

He’s getting implants to fake muscles (including a six pack) and he’s already done extensive work on his face but, oddly enough, the very idea of actually working out to get ripped amuses him.

He says it’s not “glam enough,” sweating at the gym is not “fab” so he’s not doing it.

At 32, he believes his obsession with plastic surgery began in his mid-twenties, when he had his first nose job. He’s had three more ever since, each one “not as extreme and exaggerated as I wanted.”

While he’s well aware of the risks he’s exposing himself to with so many interventions (or at least so he says), he’s willing to take them because, he says, “I'm closer to... the picture that I have in my head.”

The other case that will be presented on the same show is that of Lacey Wildd who, at 44 and mother of 6, still yearns to go up from her current L-cup so she can become the woman with the largest breasts in the world.

Wildd, you may remember from back in June this year when we also talked about her, is actually proud of the many interventions she’s had (which aren’t limited only to her chest), especially because it’s her body who’s paying the bills for her entire family.

As she says in the video below, she makes $250,000 (€192,946) a year. In other words, she didn’t do it for vanity but as part of her “job” if you will.
