Yes, you have every right to be intrigued by the title, yet you'll learn that everything is true, despite all odds. Carlo Rossi is the name of a Spanish wine company which has just recently entered the wonderful world of custom and unusual audio gadgets with their latest creation, the Sangria Sound System.

[admark=1]The Sangria Sound System is no gimmick: we're talking about a very serious audio array based on a 7-channel architecture, with a very interesting 6.1 engineering.

"But what's with the Sangria wine?" you might ask. Well, here comes the fun: the cabinets of the loudspeakers are actual Carlo Rossi jugs of Sangria wine, emptied (of course) and then customized so that they can now house very real and no-nonsense drivers, capable to throw quite a punch, letting you enjoy more from your music or movies.

Allegedly, these glass jugs will resonate in a very pleasant way as you'll be listening to music; yet, there is no word about this phenomenon occurring with Flamenco music or death metal. To be honest, I guess that this altogether lovely and artsy sound system can not withstand for too much time some very loud heavy metal, let alone the hard techno beats.

Even so, this home theater system looks niftier than most other similar units out there: its jugs have been loaded atop some very alluring custom-blown glass structures which are neon-lit; this goes for the vertical arm and the circular baseplate. Imagine lighting these objects with multi-colored LED so you can adjust the ambient in your room according to mood! Sweet, indeed!

The Sangria Sound System is not available for customers yet, but some collectors might very well ask for some replicas, so you can never tell. As far as pricing is concerned, there's no word on the financial aspect; and unfortunately, due to the lack of data, the audio maniacs will have to get over this without any power/ frequency range/ impedance specs.

I'll just add that Carlo Rossi have more than one "bottly creation": check them out here!

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
