If you happen to spot a giant, orange squirrel walking around your home town the next time you go grocery shopping or are simply enjoying a quiet walk with family or friends, pay close attention, as chances are Hillary Clinton is nearby.

Mind you, the oversized, giant squirrel is not the result of some weird genetic experiment gone horribly wrong or the by-product of a nuclear explosion in some remote corner of the world most people haven't even heard of.

On the contrary, it is a Republican National Committee intern wearing a funny suit and whose sole job is to follow Hillary Clinton around while she is on the book tour for her latest memoir, “Hard Choices,” and rain on her parade.

Thus, the squirrel is dressed in a T-shirt that has the slogan “Another Clinton the White House Would Be Nuts” written on it, and has made it its life's goal to distribute as many leaflets displaying the same message as possible.

Since the Republican National Committee is nothing if not thorough when it comes to slamming Hillary Clinton and trying to get folks not to like her, the squirrel even has its own Twitter account.

The account, dubbed HRC Squirrel, is used to share the orange squirrel's stalking experiences with the world and document what Hillary Clinton is up to while on her book tour. In case anyone was wondering, the squirrel now has nearly 1,900 followers.

According to Mashable, Hillary Clinton is not as annoyed by fact that she is being stalked by a Republican National Committee intern as most would expect her to be. Then again, maybe she is, but won't admit to it.

In fact, it was this past Tuesday when the former Secretary of State approached the squirrel and handed it a signed copy of her memoir. “Please make a hard choice and read my book,” Hillary Clinton wrote in her message to the squirrel.

Not long after being handed the book, the squirrel posted a photo of it on Twitter. “Thank you, Hillary Clinton! I love fiction!” the giant, orange animal wrote on the social networking site. “Hillary Clinton, thank you for feeding the squirrel,” it added.

Talking to the press, Kristen Kukowski, a spokesperson for the Republican National Committee, says it will be a while before the squirrel stops following the former Secretary of State around. As she puts it, “You’ll definitely be seeing more from the squirrel.”

“The idea is to have a presence at Hillary’s events to make sure Americans know that while the Democrats have no choice but to anoint her as their nominee, she’s going to have a difficult campaign defending her lack of accomplishments,” she added, as cited by ABC News.
