This week the review team of the Softpedia Games section is delivering long-term evaluations for: Costume Quest 2, Jagged Alliance: Flashback, which fails to deliver an experience that’s as good as that of the classic series, Crusader Kings II – Charlemagne and Lords of the Fallen.

We also have a Gamer Diary which deals with Civilization: Beyond Earth and the way it compares with other titles in the series and with Alpha Centauri and another about the Charlemagne expansion for Crusader Kings II.

Our two editorials talk about the most recent temporary price cut that Microsoft has delivered for the Xbox One and about the problems that DriveClub has been facing on the PlayStation 4 since launch.

We also have a Weekend Reading piece about the way Forza Horizon 2 and DriveClub tackle the challenges of the racing genre and deliver very interesting alternative approaches.

As always we have an EndWeekGame feature that talks about how we plan to spend our free time and we also have a selection of the most important news from the past seven days.

On Monday, we talked about a leak revealing some of the multiplayer features for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and we also learned that a price cut to 349 dollars was introduced for the Xbox One in the US for the holiday shopping season.

On Tuesday, Battlefield 5 was rumored as coming at some point in 2016 in order to leave Hardline some breathing space while the development team working on Bloodborne talked about the 1080p resolutions and 60 FPS it was targeting for the title.

Wednesday saw Electronic Arts reveal that Battlefield Hardline would arrive on March 17 of next year and the team at Techland announce that Dying Light was being canceled for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.

On Thursday, the Xbox Entertainment Studios was closed down by Microsoft, the Halo-themed TV series from Spielberg was canceled, and an HD collection for GTA was apparently something that Rockstar was evaluating.

On Friday, Activision delivered a big live action trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, the Games with Gold for the month of November were announced by Microsoft, and Sony revealed that it sold 3.3 million PS4 home consoles in the past three months.

On Saturday, Dragon Age: Inquisition went gold and got ready to launch on all platforms on November 18 in the US and November 21 in the EU, and Bungie offered more information on the new The Dark Below expansion for Destiny.
