RPG for free. That's a first

We must admit it - most of the free games are not exactly the ones that win prizes when the year ends. But, from time to time, things are different - when we're talking about a game that looks, feels and acts like Magic The Gathering, it has a multi platform availability (Wii, PC, PS3, PSP and Mac) and, atop of that, is totally free to play, we know we have a "killer hand". And this hand has no other name than Warrior Quest!

NextGenBooks.com, the ones responsible for the creation of the game call this title a traditional RPG adventure in a similar vein to classic games Dragon Quest and Phantasy Star. What's special about it? It is a browser based game that, I must repeat it, is absolutely free to play. And, what seems strange in our world where nothing but profit and hidden tax fees seem to matter - it looks like there are no micro-transactions within the game, no "bonuses" available for purchase, nothing. And this, my friends, means equal chances for everyone.

In Warrior Quest you are a young and aspiring Battle Master. As it happens in RPGs, you will fight to obtain new skills, collect the so much needed Battle Cards and unlock new areas of the map. And if you think that's not enough for you, the devs have decided to offer a free monthly update pack containing new features, areas and Battle Cards. Actually, the first update is already scheduled for the 2nd of April - just to prove that these guys, when they promise something, they stick to their words.

So, if you felt that your console really needs a new game, here is a free option for you. Warrior Quest represents a great way of spending your free time and, especially if you like games like Magic: The Gathering, Dragon Quest or Phantasy Star, it will be a great choice. Anyway, you can always try it. What does it cost you? Nothing. Literally!
