A&E has pulled the plug on one of its most successful and shocking reality series: “Intervention” ends this summer after an impressive run spanning 13 seasons, The Wrap confirms.

Five final episodes will air starting June 13, and fan favorite addiction specialists will return to deal with severe cases of addiction like the one presented in the video above.

“As ‘Intervention' comes to an end, we're proud to have paved the way for such an original and groundbreaking series,” A&E and BIO Channel’s Executive VP of Programming David McKillop says in a statement to the aforementioned media outlet.

“We're honored to have been a part of the 243 interventions since its premiere in March of 2005, leading to the 156 individuals that are currently sober to this day,” McKillop adds in the same statement.

To end this on a more upbeat note, the video below is the best cry ever recorded on camera for a reality series.
