Besides agreeing to honor this request, on condition that the siblings adopt and not buy their future pet, Ricky Gervais decided to also share some of his opinions on animal cruelty and pet abandonment.
According to Ecorazzi, Ricky Gervais argued as follows: “How can anyone abandon a beautifully loyal dog? It's not an accessory. It makes me so sad & angry.”
“Pop into an animal rescue centre today. Even if you have no intention of taking a little critter home, get a free cuddle & donate a fiver,” the celebrity later urged his fans.
Here's hoping Ricky Gervais' message will be heard (and understood) by the right people.
