A gamer answers to this controversial topic

We have recently welcomed with open arms the upgraded old DS - the DS Lite, which is now available in a black & white version and also in a 'noble pink' fashionable showcase. But the DS is still Nintendo's milestone. Come on, it was sold better than the GameBoy.

Furthermore, the Nintendo DS was declared just a few days ago America's top-selling video game system of any type, according to independent sales numbers recently released by the NPD Group. "Nintendo DS is the only game system available a year ago that showed growth over the same period, and it did so in overwhelming fashion, with a leap of 426 percent," said George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "What we're seeing is realization of our promise that Nintendo will bring gaming to the masses-whatever your taste or level of experience, we've got a system and a game for you."

But let's cut to the chase. A dog, a puppy to be more exact, succeeded in hacking our beloved new DS Lite, which now lies helpless in its owner's hands. Yes it is true?

No human has gone where a puppy could? But the great news is that the owner gets a full-repair for its DS Lite at only 50$, as the guys from Nintendo agreed to charge him a nickel for all the repairs.

Next time, keep it away from the little fellow! In the end, I'll give you the funny conversation between Nintendo's operator and the unfortunate puppy vs. DS Lite owner, thanks to our colleagues from jacobian.org.

"Nintendo: Nintendo of America! This is ----, how may I help you?

Me: Yeah... um, my puppy ate my DSlite.

Nintendo: (Smothered laughter) oh no!

Me: Yeah, it got pretty mangled. I'm wondering if there's any way I can get it fixed for less than buying a new one.

Nintendo: Well, that depends -- how mangled is it?

Me: Well, it still turns on but the bottom screen is busted, there are teeth marks all over the plastic, and...

Nintendo: Yeah, that doesn't sound like it's fixable.

Me: No, I don't think so.

Nintendo: You said it's a DSlite? You mean you just got it, huh?

Me: Yeah, just about a month ago.

Nintendo: Wow, that's terrible! Usually we charge full price for a replacement, but since you just got it let me see if there's anything I can do...

Me: Thanks so much!

Nintendo: (Sounds of typing...) So it looks like the best I can do is to charge you $50 to repair it, how does that sound?

Me: !"
