Samsung's Galaxy Tab has been getting the company a lot of attention, most of it not for fortunate things, but a different Galaxy Tab is ready to start making headlines of its own.

Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 is not the only tablet that the company has in store for its customers.

While that 10.1-inch slate is good for people who like their slates big (as long as they get one at least), there are smaller ones as well.

One of said smaller slates is the Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus Android, which more or less gives the essential bits of all its specs away just through the name.

Specifically, it has a screen size of 7 inches, the Android operating system and all the 'common' tablet features (wireless support, microSD, etc.).

We already mentioned that the item was up on pre-order on Amazon, though the listings seem to have been taken down in the meantime.

Regardless, the 16GB slate will start shipping on November 13, 2011, while the 32 GB Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus will appear later, either by year's end on in early 2012.

For people who want the exact details, the product's 7-inch PLS LCD touchscreen has a native resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels.

Meanwhile, the insides rely on a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, backed up by 1 GB of RAM (random access memory).

Additionally, Samsung threw in Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, a microSD card slot (to supplement the built-in flash storage) and 21 Mbps HSDPA support, plus an USB 2.0 connector.

Furthermore, a rear-facing camera with LED flash is present, of 3 megapixels, as is a front-facing 2 megapixel camera.

Finally, all these weigh a total of 345 grams and run on the power provided by a 4,000 mAh battery. Pre-orders should come back online tomorrow (October 23, 2011).
