The scenario of a horror movie

There aren't too many who have a relaxed attitude when going to the dentist, the fear of the drill being widely spread.

A person with a cavity generally waits until things become extremely complicated, and even then it takes them long until they decide to pay a visit to the dentist. Sometimes, 'old school' healing methods are used and only when the pain becomes unbearable and after friends and family members attempt persuasion, the 'victim' finally decides to go to the dentist's office.

On the way there, patients try to boost their confidence and start thinking how the doctor will use anesthetic and that most likely, there will be no pain, and most of the time, this is what happens, but 'accidents' do happen.

In the UK, a dentist left her unqualified boyfriend to work on 600 patients so she could go shopping.

According to BBC, Mogjan Azari, 39, turned Omid Amidi-Mazaheri, 42, into a dentist, although he had only worked as a technician.

It's easy to imagine what some of the patients experienced, the Iranian drilling through teeth without administering anesthetic and installing fillings that fell a few days after. There was even one case in which he broke a syringe in a patient's mouth and a part of it fell down the throat.

"The direct result of your actions was that a recall exercise involving several hundred patients had to be mounted, to establish whether they required further dental remedial action. This caused the patients considerable distress and inconvenience, and cost the National Health Service (NHS) approximately 180,000 pounds," the GDC representatives were quoted by Reuters as saying when the sentence was pronounced.

For their criminal acts, Mogjan Azari got one year in jail and Amidi-Mazaheri was sentenced to two years of imprisonment.
