So, are you one of those proud Apple customers and are you currently using Mac OS X? Oh, and have you also downloaded Opera Browser to surf the web? Hey, wait a sec, is that Adobe Flash Player installed on your system? Oh my God, you're vulnerable pal! You should really update your applications! A new vulnerability has been discovered on the computers equipped with Mac OS X running Opera Browser with an installed Adobe Flash Player.

The vulnerability was first discovered by Opera Software, which wrote that the affected product was the "Mac OS X system with the Opera Web browser and the Adobe Flash Player 9.0.47.0 and earlier installed."

"Opera 9.24 has a highly recommended security upgrade for users of the Adobe Flash Player 9.0.47.0 and earlier on Mac OS X. A security issue in Adobe Flash Player 9.0.47.0 and earlier running in Opera on Mac OS X has been found. Details about the vulnerability will be disclosed at a later date", Opera Software added in the description of the highly severe vulnerability.

Obviously, Opera has already corrected the issue and is now asking all the users to update to Opera Browser 9.24, the only release which is not vulnerable to the flaw.

Meanwhile, the folks at Adobe focused on their part of the vulnerability and also cooked a patch to resolve the glitch. "Adobe has provided an update to resolve an issue with Flash Player and the Opera and other browsers on the Mac OSX platform", the company wrote in a security notification published on its official website. "Adobe would like to thank Opera for reporting this vulnerability and for working with us to help protect our mutual customers' security."

Although I'm sure you know it, you can download the latest version of Opera for Mac straight from Softpedia using this link.
