A-Data, a leading manufacturer of DRAM Module and storage devices, has recently announced that it has joined hands with the world's leading chip maker, Intel, for the launch of its new Solid State Drive, based on Intel's widely appreciated X25-M series of SSDs. With the launch, Intel's X25-M 80GB SSD will now be available through A-DATA channel support. In addition, according to A-DATA, its customers will be able to take advantage of the solid A-DATA customer service, providing them with both a high-quality product and a high-quality service package.

A-DATA's new SSD product is based on Intel's latest Solid State Drive technology, boasting Intel's Multi-Level Cell (MLC) NAND Flash memory and providing a new level of storage performance for mainstream users. The X25-M series is designed for consumers that require high-end 2.5-inch storage solutions that can easily boost the overall performance of their portable computer system.

As far as speed and overall performance are concerned, the new A-DATA SSD is ready to provide you with a read speed of 250MB/s and 70MB/s for writing, with a read latency of 85 microseconds. The drive is featured with a fast SATA interface and is available in both 80GB and 160GB capacities. Additional features include a powerful Native Command Queuing (NCQ), enabling up to 32 concurrent operations, Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (SMART).

The drive itself basically offers every feature that is enabled by Intel's reference drives. It provides a level of performance that can easily be noticed, when compared to a traditional 2.5-inch hard drive and even some of the currently available SSDs on the market.

With the launch, A-DATA joins companies such as Kingston Technology, which have introduced their own rebranded Intel SSDs, combining Intel's technology with their channel support.
