Rock Band will receive some new songs in the form of yet another DLC bundle and this time it will have an odd source of inspiration. This pack seems to be inspired by the release of the upcoming game Brutal Legend, as three of the songs come straight from its soundtrack. Brutal Legend is expected to hit the shelves next week. The songs will be available on the Xbox Live and on the Wii starting tomorrow, October 13, while the PlayStation Store will only get them on Thursday, on the 15th.

The downloadable content pack will be available for $5.49, or 440 Microsoft points except for those who will buy Brutal Legend from Best Buy. Gamers who decide to purchase there will receive special tokens that will allow them to download the game for free. Individually, each song will cost $1.99 or 160 Microsoft Points, the equivalent of 200 in Wii Points.

The pack will contain the very well-known hit of blink-182 "What's My Age Again?" and other good songs. The full list is as follows: "(We Are) The Road Crew '08" by Motörhead (Part of the Brutal Legend three-pack), "The Metal" by Tenacious D (Part of the Brutal Legend three-pack), "More Than Meets the Eye" by Testament (Part of the Brutal Legend three-pack), "Point of Know Return" by Kansas (Live from Two for the Show), "Andres" by L7, "Show Me the Way" by Black Tide, "What's My Age Again?" by blink-182, "Satch Boogie" by Joe Satriani, "Surfing with the Alien" by Joe Satriani and "Icarus (Borne on the Wings of Steel)" by Kansas (Live from Two for the Show).

Rock Band Unplugged, the PlayStation Portable version of the game, will remain on schedule with its two-songs-a-week tradition. Each song will be priced at $1.99 and will become available on the PlayStation Store along with the Rock Band ones, on October 15. The two songs that will make up the pack are "Jeremy" by Pearl Jam and Foreigner's "Headknocker."
