A 9-year-old boy getting on a plane to Nevada earlier this week has also stolen a car a few weeks ago, officials say.

His name and location have not been disclosed, but his mother works at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

The parents have split up, and he has at least one more sibling. There was no information on whether or not he was driving the vehicle.

In the past, he has been caught sneaking into Bloomington water park by attaching himself to families going in.

He has told authorities about his mother threatening him with a knife held to his throat, but four visits by Child's Service this year have yielded no results.

“The reports have been inconsistent and there have been no injuries to the child; however, there is a pattern of behavior,” area director Janine Moore tells Fox News.
